Things to see and do in the area

We are located at the heart of Scotland's whisky industry - indeed, almost 90% of all Scotch is distilled within 20 miles of our head office! Visit Glenfiddich distillery where you can see malt whisky being produced, learn about the history of the industry and sample a "wee dram" or follow the Malt Whisky Trail and visit a variety of distilleries.

The north of Scotland is also famous for its castles, with Ballindalloch Castle and Brodie Castle being well worth a visit.
For the sports person we have 70 golf courses around the region, 16 of which are within 30 minutes of our headquarters. St Andrews and Gleneagles are only 90 minutes drive from Aberdeen.
If, like our chairman, you prefer shooting, we will happily arrange game shooting, stalking and fishing on our local estates and rivers. The River Spey, one of Scotland's finest salmon rivers, is 5 minutes away and world renowned grouse, pheasant and partridge shooting is literally on our doorstep! Our own Rannas Estate provides very testing driven game shooting. For further information please visit www.rannas.com.
If this sounds too energetic for you why not indulge in some retail therapy at Baxter's Highland Village, Johnstons Cashmere Centre or Brodie Countryfare.
Alternatively, head for Inverness and the beautiful west coast where you can look for 'Nessie' on the shores of Loch Ness or relax in luxury at Skibo Castle with the rich and famous!

Aberdeen, known as the 'granite city' due to the stone used to build it, is the ideal place to spend a few nights. The city boomed in the 1970's after oil was struck in the North Sea and is now Europe's oil capital. Aberdeen is a busy and cosmopolitan city boasting many fine restaurants and hotels, as well as the world's busiest civilian heliport.
We look forward to welcoming you to Scotland!
